Summer Missions

There is a special mission need for the summer. Mountain View Baptist Church in Phil Campbell will be starting a reconstruction project of their sanctuary in May due to the tornado damage last April. We have been asked to help supply bottled water and bottled Gatorade to hydrate the 1400 volunteers that will be working at the site. If you would like to donate either of these items please leave them under the Missions Table by Larry Johnsons class. If you have any questions please contact Jessica Thigpen.

You are invited to the 3rd Annual Spring Fling at Earle Trent Assembly. The event will be held on Tuesday, May 1 from 11:30 to1:30. There will be lots of food, fun, and fellowship. If you would like to attend the Seniors will be meeting here at the church at 10:30 to car pool over to Earle Trent.

National Day of Prayer

The National Day of Prayer will be observed on Thursday, May 3 at 12 noon at Wilson Park in Florence. Everyone is encouraged to attend this event.

Men, are you interest in a Bible Study?

Sons of Virtue is a 10 week Bible study intended to help begin shaping that next generation of men who will take their places in leadership in the waning days of our generation. The study will begin May 6 and will go through July 15. We (church family and all of your friends that you invite) will be watching the movie Courageous in the July 15 Sunday night service. If you are interested in being a part of this study please contact Jason Walton.

2012 VBS is Coming Soon!

This year the theme for VBS is be IncrediWorld Amazement Park by Answers in Genesis.

The dates are June 3-7. If you would like to teach a class or help in any area there are sign-up sheets outside the Children’s Department.

Mike Gibson’s Life group are going to have a bowling/pizza day on Saturday, April 21. We will be meeting at CiCi’s Pizza in Florence at 11:00 am and then we are planning to leave from there and meet at the Lauderdale Lanes Bowling alley for a few games.
